Department of Health Informatics

Dear Readers,

It is my pleasure to invite you to the Department of Health Informatics, which is aimed to equip graduates with the knowledge, skills, and attitude to develop, manage, and lead Health information management systems and evaluate the opportunities and limitations of health care technology. It promotes and supports the use of health informatics concepts in health services delivery, health management systems, research, learning, and health policy development with the ultimate purpose of improving health outcomes for people. Given the advancement of ICT and existing multifaceted issues in delivering quality health services, the adoption and use of ICT are not optional anymore; instead, it is mandatory to strive to develop and implement robust and reliable health informatics applications that support health service delivery and intervention programs.
