Weekend Programs

These programs cater to students who are unable to attend regular classes. Interested learners must meet specific entrance requirements set by the Ministry of Education, including passing results from the Ethiopian Higher Education Entrance Certificate Examination (EHEECE). Additionally, students with diplomas in various fields and COC certificates can join by passing an entrance exam conducted at the university level. Weekend programs are available at various centers, including the Main Campus, Durame Campus, Mudula Center, Shone Center, Gimbichu Center, Homacho Center, Halaba Center, Gibe II, and Gibe III Centers.

Summer Program

Summer programs primarily focus on in-service education and training for employed individuals, particularly teachers in primary and secondary education, as well as trainers assigned by various sectors of the Central Ethiopia Regional Government. Evening Programs

Wachemo University also offers a range of evening programs, providing flexible learning opportunities for students who may be unable to attend classes during traditional hours. The evening programs are tailored for working professionals and adult learners, allowing them to pursue higher education alongside their other commitments.


Admission Requirements:

To apply for the evening programs, prospective students must meet the following criteria:

1. Higher Education Entrance Examination:

Candidates must have a passing result on the Ethiopian Higher Education Entrance Certificate Examination (EHEECE), as determined by the Ministry of Education each year.

2. Diploma Holders:

Individuals holding a diploma in any field of study and possessing a Certificate of Competency (COC) may also apply. They must pass an entrance exam conducted at the university level.
