Contribute to the promotion of mathematics and dissemination of its discoveries in the sub-region
- Provide strong undergraduate and graduate programs with international standards.
- Promote interdisciplinary research programs in collaboration with industries and other research institutes in and outside Ethiopia.
- Encourage the learning and love of mathematics in Ethiopia, especially at the secondary school level.
- Help the government in solving some developmental problems of the country.
- Use technology to solve and/or explore (and/or research) mathematics problems.
