This study will be conducted in one selected area where it is around SNNP Regional State in southern part of Ethiopia for Hossana town only, investigating the index properties, consolidation characteristics, compaction, direct shear tests, CBR,Triaxial and other engineering properties of soil found in hosanna town. The depth of investigation in this research is limited to the maximum depth of 6 meter for 6 samples, bore holes to determine geological formation of soil and 27 pits is limited to maximum depth of 3 meters.
