Scope and Limitation of the Study
Even though there are several indicators that are used for the assessment of the
performance of urban water supply services provision (Tynan, N. and Kingdom, W,
2002); the relative performance of Hossana Water Supply system was based on
comparing the total volume of water the utility produces and the total volume of
water for which the utility collects revenue.
This will provide an approximate indication of the overall position of a utility
which will assist to make an overall conclusion on performance of the utility
((Mwanza, 2004). Information contained in this study is limited to Hossana water supply
only. Assessment of Performance of Hossana Water Supply in the City includes water
loss and coverage analysis throughout the town water supply.
